Wind back to 2005, as Penn State was coming off of back-to-back DISASTROUS seasons (3-9 followed by 4-7).
Despite the face that they started 3-0 in 2005, they trailed early on the road in their Big Ten opener at Northwestern. Down late in the game, they faced a 4th and 18 from deep in their own territory. Do you remember what happened next? It could have been the single play that turned the program around. Take a walk down memory lane. I distinctly remember watching this game in Seattle with my friend Ash. Take a look:

Big Ten Network’s Practice Tour Goes To Penn State
August 13th, 2009
justin_lee I watched the first hour of the Big Ten Network’s visit to Penn State. First, let me say that I was amazed that JoePa actually let them video that much of a practice. I was under the impression that wasn’t his style.
Anyway, I thought that the coverage was good, and Revsine, Dinardo and Griffith all did a good job.
As for the players, Newsome looks to be the real deal. A little bit raw, but his one toss over the middle to Moye looked like it came from a 5th year senior. He’ll get mop up duty this year, and I’m excited to watch him play.
The interview with Navorro Bowman was cool as well. Apparently LaVar called him and told him to wear #11. Navorro is apparenly being called “LaVorro” by his teammates. Check it out:
